Why New Zealand became average team after Martin Crowe retired in 1992?

- That's because they were only ever an average team with two great batsmen (Crowes, Jeff and Martin) and one great bowler (Hadlee). Greatbatch was a very talented batsman but could only be described as under-performing. Remember NZ has a population of about 6 million compared to 21 million in Aus and 1 billion in India. They're very good at Rugby though!!
- Well i don't really agree. New Zealand has emerged as a good team. They won the ICC champions trophy in 2001. They white-washed Australia (3-0) in Chappell -Hadlee series last year. They have performed well against Australia in recent years. They have not been a very dominant team bcz their batting line-up hasn't done well 'under pressure'. They have good bowling line-up ( without any chuck ball cricketer ) They are also a good fielding team. So overall, New Zealand is a very competitive team. They have improved.
- i dont think that is true..What about Steven Fleming-Dan Vettorri-Brendan McCullum-Scotty Stiris-.... Jacob Oram--Jeetan Patel... they are a good team, talent changes my dear...
- hopeless yes , but , Stephen Flemming was an amazing player for them, but after him they are hopeless~
