Is it legal to retire in Cuba?

I'm a retiree looking for a place to live outside the US. I'm considering Thailand, but I've heard that Cuba is a good place also. But, if you move to Cuba, and live there, will that put you in hot water with the US government when you come back to the States to visit family?

1. dude why would u want to go to cuba, there communists, and people are trying to flee the country and you want to go there.
2. i think it is. but with a communist countire i dont know if you want to do that. Try Baja Calfornia, its an hour drive from San Diego and there is tons of retirees in rosarito and Ensenada.

If you are a U.S. citizen and are in Cuba or North Korea, you can receive all of your payments that were withheld once you leave that country and go to another country where we can send payments."

6. no. remember some people go there illegally and return here without a slap on the wrist. what that means is we do not force people to obey are laws even when we know they broke them.
