  1. Hello, David. Well, as the old adage goes, "east is east and west is west". So, if I were you, I would insist that she stays with you. If she loves you, she will!
  2. both of you really have to decide on what will happen....you have your family here and she has her's there.....serious its a huge step to make in your life!
  3. Im white american from USA. I have no family in Thailand whatsoever but I would do anything to stay in Thailand forever. It's hard to get a visa longer than 3 years for most americans. You are crazy if you choose USA over Thailand. Most Americans think Thailand is all prostitution and sickos and this IS yahoo answers USA so the answers you get are probably only one sided, but anybody who has been there trys there hardest to stay. I don't think you have been there if you are talking like this to be honest. And who cares about the pension, do you realize how cheap it is to live in Thailand??? You will save 10 times what your pension would be I bet unless your like a CEO or something. Im curious to how you are going to live there (visas and everything). Im assuming you are over the age of 55 and that requires alot of money to retire there (I think it's like over 20,000 USD that you have to invest in a thai bank in order to be approved for a retirement visa). You can do border runs but oh what a hassle. If you are under 55, please send me a message and share with me how you plan on living there for good. I have a girlfriend there too like you but I'm only 26 so I can't apply for the retirement visa.
