best country to retire

Thailand or America?

This question is in this catagory because there's not an exact one for this question, and as well I'm seeking friendly advice from fellow friends of Q&A: For the past decade I have lived in Thailand. Now, at 34 (and recently just turned 34) the question arises ''Go now or stay forever?" I am not married, no children...and I have my ups and downs here, just as anyone may have anywhere...yet I wonder if I should be concerned about one day needing to retire. Are there private retirement agencies that have a plan towards one's retirement if not working in thier own country? My taxes are so always excempt...so there won't be anything to draw from in the 'Golden Years'. Finding love would be impossible for me in Thailand...yet possible in America, however that is not a main concern, yet a reality to consider. I simply cannot decide..and answers of 'which place makes you most happy' does not help.If I knew, it would be decided. I'm wondering: If any of you had a choice, which+why?

  3. i think u kind of already answered your own question :-) u said that u have no retirement plan in Thailand. what are u going to do when u are 85? Not to mention, if u dont have a family there to take care of u... then that could b a problem. i think this is a realllllly good time to start thinking about this! Best of Luck to You no matter what u do!
