CUBA, now that fidel castro has retired whats is left on the island?

my real question is what kin dof policy should we take on the island now that fidel is retired? should we continue the sanction and embargo until raul changes to democracy or should we open it up to free trade to help the island nation? so then you suggest we should keep with the embargo thats my question?

1. Fidel's brother will take over. He will continue to torture and steal from the Cuban people and the radical left will have a new dictator to idolize. The embargo should continue.
2. End the embargo aimed at the people of Cuba Does anyone think Castro personally is effected by it, just the poor. It is a way to try and influence the people of a country to overthrow their government so America can profit from it again Why not an embargo against China? If you really wanted respect for a true political stance. I don't think so! Interesting that America does its torture in Cuba

As long as the leader there has the last name Castro, the ex pats from Cuba, who still have enough political muscle in America will be screaming their heads off and the government will continue to listen. Keep in mind, it is those ex pats who fled Cuba along with the treasury of that country. They want their silver platter back and for Cuba, again, to be the harbinger of the ultra rich controlling the vast majority of the ultra poor. Finally, let Cuba decide what kind of government it should have. That should never be our call. We should believe in a countries right of self determination and sovereignty. Lift the embargo.
