Why are the media painting Castro as a CEO who is retiring vs. the meglomaniacal tyrant who he is?

1. He is the hero and icon of the Liberal socialist revolution. Chavez is primed to take over the mantel.
2. The media loves him, as do MOST liberals. Also, they have always been kind in the death of former leaders.
3. The left-wing media are socialist/communist sympathizers.

5. Because our Liberal News Media has always Loved Castro. So do many in our Democrat Party. Castro has always been an inspiration to them.
6. I have noticed that too. Even in stories about his younger brother are filled with instances of executions of opposition and imprisonment of dissenters. I guess that is perfectly acceptable behavior to many Liberals. *
7. He's an icon of the mush-head American left, and these people dominate American journalism. If Cuba ever goes back to capitalism, it will be one of the hottest vacation and resort destinations in the world. What a waste, the last 50 years. Cuba has all the makings of an island paradise, so long as they get their atrocity of a government out of the way.
8. Castro freed the people of Cuba who worked the fields ,served in the resorts , and provided the labor to keep the retail stores shelfs stocked . These people worked for wages that forced them to grow their own food and most of the income was consumed by taxes . The people of Cuba were little more then slaves before Castro . The rich Fled Cuba along with some of the middle class . Had it not been for the trade embargo's keeping Cuba from selling in the United States markets Cuba might have remained and Island paradise with a feed people who no longer worked for slave wages . See what they do not tell you is much of the people of Cuba are black . That the light skinned people are the direct decedents of the Spanish who took over Cuba from its small native population and imported slaves from africa to do much of the labor . Its was those people who wanted freedom and it was those people who Castro freed only to find his economy strangled by the United States after he took control . It was Russia or nothing for Castro . If America could not control Cuba it would be isolated . See freedom was lost in America at about the same time Castro came to power . Talk by the rich was to dismantle the unions and 25 years later it was a done deal except for the unions who represent government workers . They have pay and benefit packages working people dream of . Really look hard at America and the wages of many retail workers , construction workers , ware house workers and you will find out that that they can afford little . Drive used cars , rent property , have no savings , because on $8.00-$12.00 an hour who can afford anything else . The lucky ones have some help from mom & dad , those that are not so lucky often spend a few weeks on a friends couch while they locate a new job and get into a new apartment . Live was Not so great in Cuba for the working people and Castro promised them Change . Had Castro known that the United States was not only going to stop trading with Cuba but prevent everyone else from doing so in this hemisphere he might of never tried to help his people . Castro had fought in the banana wars along side the United States and came to realize he was supporting the wrong side . The poor people want freedom from the rich who oppress them and make millions on their labor . No wonder the upper middle class and rich work so hard to make everyone think they can some day become wealthy . Look around , only one in ten gets a good paying job and For every successful business you have 2 that fail . Thats moderate success by the way not Bill Gates kind of Success . 1000 Billionaires is all we have , And most of that came from building off of million dollar inheritances Sam Walton was the child of merchant who sold food dry goods and supplies to the community . Little wonder that Sam an aggressive negotiator always looking for cheaper goods to sell was able to stock his stores with much cheaper goods then others and maximize his profits . That persists today with goods made in every sweet shop the world over and the cheapest foreign grown produce shipped north from the labor of our south American friends who work for $1.00 a day . You have to have something to work with before you can become wealthy duplicating it over and over like McDonalds . Anyhow Castro just wanted his people to be free and only Jailed those people who tried working with the United States to overthrow his government and or assassinate him .
