In order for you to get a job in Panama you would have to get a work permit, or else your employer can get some penalties imposed if they find out that he's hiring foreign employees without a work permit. Now there are several ways to get a work permit in Panama. Depending on how you want to immigrate to Panama, then you could apply to the best option available, and also one that can be economically viable to you. As for the job situation in Panama. I guess it's the same as everywhere else. Tough! As a retired vet expect a lot of competition with younger persons, and even more given your immigration status.
