PANAMA or COSTA RICA?

WE are young retired couple trying to relocate to Latin America. Need advice on what is preferable Panama or Costa Rica regarding cost of living etc. Thanks!

1. costa rica, it has mountains that you can get away from the denguee and malaria and aren't misrable in heat
2. depends on personal taste i guess. costa ricans are in general a more welcoming country, you have to win panameneans heart. but panama is way cheaper on electronics and stuff. it all depends on what kind of lifestyle you want and whats important to you. maybe visit both countries instead of asking people online. regarding costs, panama is cheaper than costa rica.
3. Your question implies that there is people who knows about both places and that is gonna be a few only. Try making a list asking for prices of several things like gas, land, health, electricity/phone/Internet bills and so on, then place your question in each country section, not in General Section and I am sure you are going to find answers to your main concerns about each country!!
