  1. Enlist.
  2. Maxwell AFB is in Montgomery Alabama
  3. my dad was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany (army) when I was born...after we moved back to the states, my dad was done with the army, so i never moved anywhere else than that. It's kinda fun being an army brat because it's like you're part of an exclusive club, especially if you're born overseas.
  4. I'm 33 and I was a military brat. I don't remember much about it other than my dad being gone allot. I've been to Germany, Texas and Indiana. That's what I do remember. My dad was in the Army for ten years. I married an Army guy and with him I've been to Massachusetts and Alaska. I have traveled threw Canada and Washington. I have also lived in California. My husband went to Iraq and he came back. He is now out of the Army.

  6. I was an army brat and I was born in Werzburg, Germany. I don''t remember to much though but I know after that i went to Fort Ort (something like that) anyway i just know that I was bounced around a lot. But it's neat to say to people that I was born out of this country. '_'
  7. You made think of some good memories! The only bad ones is moving to different bases and leaving good friends. My dad was a Master Chief MMCM(RET) in the Navy. My dad met my mom stationed in the *Philippines, then moved to *San Diego California *Lemoore California *Oceanside California (Camp Pendelton) *Hawaii *Guam *back to San Diego *Virginia *back to San Diego till he retired Now I live in po-dunk Iowa. I miss them days!! I remember that everything was cheap too ( haircut, food, etc.)!!! When I was a kid I always thought it was the coolest thing to sneak off base just to see what the outside world was like. I miss my rebel friends!!!

  11. I am a Military Wife :) of a Marine Corps and we are in Hawaii where my husband is stationed. Since he's getting out, we are headed back to California. What do you miss about being a Military Brat? be more specific.
  12. Thank your dad for his service for me. I hope you share your experience with people you meet in the future. I love to travel but my dad went inactive (Army) after the Korean War. He stayed in a year longer and then is still listed as inactive. (He's 74 years old.)
  13. Haha, my life was a bit complicated. I didn't just do military moves, also did civilian, obviously only military listed here. Beginning (bio father) USCG Mississippi Alaska (Kodiak Island) Alabama Dad (step father) USMC - AD Camp Pendleton, CA MCAS Miramar, CA Quantico, VA Pentagon Boyfriend, once back from deployment hopefully will be moving to Lejeune.
  14. Wow, I'm a proud Air Force Brat too, I lived at Robins AFB, that was the last base my dad was stationed at. I loved being an Air Force Brat, shopping @ the BX without paying taxes. Me and sisters were born @ my dad's 3 last bases: I was born at Hickam, my middle sis @ Charleston AFB, SC and my baby sis @ Robins. In fact I love the Air Force so much, I'm getting my commission in 3 more years as a butter bar. The only thing I didn't like was all the moving.
